The Cold
I am not ready for all this cold weather coming in. I can't stand snow or just have to wear a jacket. Having to wake up and go into a freezing car and wait for it to warm is something that I dread. As a commuter, it sucks having to drive all the time and the cold doesn't make it any better. I am also dreading having to walk to my classes in the snow. I just miss being able to wear shorts and a short-sleeved shirt. The only thing exciting about cold weather is the activities and the holidays.
I was having a hard time trying to figure out what I wanted to write about so I put this into chat gpt to see how well it works and how well it can come up with something.
I copied and pasted the above paragraph and asked it to make it longer and to add more.
Here is what it came up with:
The impending cold weather has me bracing myself, and I'll be honest—I'm not thrilled about it. Snow is my arch-nemesis, and the idea of having to don a jacket every day doesn't sit well with me. It's not just the snow; it's the whole ritual of waking up to a freezing car that needs an eternity to warm up. The daily wait feels like a mini torture session, especially when all I want is a cozy and swift start to my day.
Being a commuter adds another layer to the winter struggle. Driving all the time is a grind, and the biting cold just exacerbates the situation. It's like Mother Nature is teaming up with traffic to make every commute an endurance test. As I gear up for another winter behind the wheel, I can't help but wish for a teleportation device or at least a car that preheats itself.
Then there's the looming dread of having to trudge through snow to get to my classes. The simple joy of throwing on shorts and a short-sleeved shirt has become a distant memory. Now it's all about layering up, navigating icy paths, and desperately trying not to slip and embarrass myself in front of my classmates.
However, in the midst of all this cold-induced misery, there's a silver lining—the activities and holidays. Despite my grievances with the season, I can't deny the allure of cozy nights in, bundled up with a warm drink. And, of course, there's the festive spirit that comes with the holidays. The prospect of gatherings, festive decorations, and the occasional snowball fight does inject a bit of excitement into the otherwise frosty atmosphere. So, while I might not be ready for the winter wardrobe, freezing commutes, and slippery walks, I'm trying to focus on the small joys that the cold weather brings.
I think that chat gpt is really interesting. It's so easy to make it write exactly what I am thinking. But most professors don't allow you to use it. I don't think that chat gpt can be a bad thing. I wish it was used more often. I use it sometimes with formatting my thoughts.
Say more? What is there to enjoy about the cold? Anything? Any fond memories? Any beloved photos?
