Exceeding the Expectations

 It is just the beginning of class, we are only 1 day in. It is hard to have a good understanding exactly what the course has to offer but I have a general idea. I am excited to improve my writing skills and improve my ability to comprehend questions and topics in different ways. As I started reading the text book for this course, I have realized how much more this class has to offer. Not only do we read the textbook and write essays, we comprehend it in different ways. It is more than just gaining knowledge. I am excited to see how this class helps me develop new skills in writing and comprehension. 

To exceed these expectations I have for this course, I have to make sure I am ahead of the game. I read the text book, but read it in a way I understand what I am reading. Whether that's reading out loud, taking notes or even just highlighting and allowing myself to comprehend what I am reading. I have to be active in class, actively listening and engaging. I have to find interest in what I am learning, even if it is something small. 

I am excited to see what this course has to offer and how it changes me.
